This is not your run-of-the-mill Quantity Surveyor position. As a Senior QS, you'll be the go-to person for all things commercial in exciting building projects. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, your day-to-day will involve:
Creative cost evaluation and proposing alternative project solutions Providing invaluable advice on contract arrangements and construction conditions Collaborating with architects and engineers on cost implications, ensuring budgets align with the project vision Crafting essential documents and reports, from tender reviews to Bills of Quantities Efficiently managing project costs during construction and overseeing final account negotiations Adhering to quality assurance procedures and contributing to business development activities Guiding and supporting junior team members as they navigate the world of quantity surveying
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
A degree qualification (RICS accredited or equivalent) Experience in the NEC contract (if you know, you know) MRICS accreditation A track record of handling technically complex projects in a consultancy environment Excellent communication and negotiation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, CAD, and CostX A proactive and engaging personality
