Overview:

A leading professional services firm is seeking to expand its commercial building surveying team in Edinburgh or Glasgow. The team deals with a range of prestigious investor clients, providing you with an interesting variety or work, as well as advising blue chip clients.

The ideal candidate will be a versatile building surveyor with experience in the commercial sector, demonstrating a strong team spirit and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough building surveys and prepare detailed reports. Develop specifications and oversee repair and refurbishment contracts. Create and negotiate schedules of dilapidations and exit strategies. Plan and implement preventative maintenance schedules. Assess building reinstatement costs. Coordinate portfolio instructions and manage additional tasks as needed. Build and sustain robust client relationships, delivering outstanding service.

Candidate Profile:

Applicants should possess:

Strong independent and team-working capabilities. Enthusiasm, initiative, and self-drive. Excellent verbal and numerical skills, along with adeptness in report writing. Superior time management and organisational skills. Flexibility and resilience under pressure. Professional appearance and exceptional communication skills. MRICS (building surveying) certification with relevant experience, preferably in a commercial consultancy setting. Familiarity with AutoCAD is beneficial.
