We are currently working with a leading construction consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, major build projects across the UK. Our client specialise in providing expert consultancy services on complex, large-scale projects, and are now looking to expand the leadership team with the addition of a Sector Lead who will help to drive growth and excellence in the build sector.
The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Sector Lead to join the team, overseeing and developing a group of specialists working on major development projects. You will be responsible for spearheading the companies efforts in this area, building a team, and establishing yourself as a key figure within the industry. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with proven leadership capabilities, a strong network, and a successful track record in the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the growth and development of a specialist team delivering large-scale development projects. Drive business development by leveraging your existing network and building new client relationships. Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standard. Provide strategic input on project execution, ensuring quality, sustainability, and best practices are adhered to. Mentor and develop junior members of the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the market, identifying new opportunities for growth and development.
About You:
You will have a proven track record of delivering major build projects, from conception to completion. You are well-connected in the construction industry, with strong business development and networking skills. You have demonstrable leadership experience, having successfully led or grown teams within a consultancy or construction environment. You are ambitious, with a passion for delivering high-quality projects and driving business success. You are knowledgeable in all aspects of construction project management, from cost planning to contract administration. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Chartered status (RICS, CIOB, or equivalent) is preferred. Extensive experience in delivering major build projects within the UK construction consultancy sector. Strong commercial acumen and leadership abilities.
