The Role:
Are you a building surveyor seeking a change in direction, but using the knowledge and network you have built up?
We are looking to appoint an experienced surveyor to lead the business development function across a group of already successful contracting businesses. This pivotal Group Business Development Director role will drive business growth and commercial strategies across three construction companies. The ideal candidate will be highly personable, commercially astute, with the ability to identify growth opportunities, build client partnerships, and drive revenue for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive group growth. Identify and secure high-value opportunities in the construction industry. Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the main point of contact. Oversee proposal preparation, strategic bids, and contract negotiations. Manage commercial strategies and monitor project profitability.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Leadership & Strategy: Experience leading business development initiatives that drive growth. Commercial Acumen: Strong contract negotiation, budget management, and analysis skills.
- Industry Experience: Significant experience in the construction sector, ideally in roofing or related fields.
- Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal and client management skills.
- Technical Knowledge: CRM tools proficiency; technical background (surveying/engineering) is a plus.
