About the Company

My client based on the Wirral has an exciting opportunity to join their team in a new role for an Accounts Clerk. This is for an Accountancy practice with an excellent team environment and a varied client list. Ideally you will have accounts experience from a practice background and be able to deal with different elements of accounts duties which match client need.

About the Role

This is a flexible role either part time or full time. The part time hours can be flexible once a pattern has been agreed. There is the option to work 2 – 3 full days or work reduced hours 5 days per week. Local transport links are excellent.

The team is growing based on the volume of work that is coming in and as a developing practice with a good reputation the team is set to get bigger still! However, they are tight-knit and a friendly bunch.

Hours can be either three full days or 2 full days and two half-days. They could also accommodate someone who wanted to work full-time hours. 

Your duties will include:

  • Management accounts preparation
  • Calculating VAT returns
  • Preparing and running payroll
  • Inputting invoices (both sales and purchase)
  • Client liaison over the telephone
  • Use of Excel to advanced level (pivot tables, etc.)
  • Using Sage and IRIS
  • AAT qualification or working towards
