About the Company?

I have an excellent opportunity working with a South Manchester based law firm who are looking to expand into their Conveyancing department. Due to the Conveyancing market being buoyant right now, they are looking to recruit an experienced Legal Secretary who has a particular background in both Residential and Commercial Conveyancing to support the Conveyancer and Fee Earners.
This busy law firm holds an impressive staff retention record which reflects in them offering competitive salaries, regular training and a pleasant working environment. Aside from Residential Property and Conveyancing, they also specialize in Business and Personal law, in particular Family Law, Private Client, Commercial Property and Corporate law.

This is a full time, permanent position and is located near excellent transport links.

About the role?

As the successful candidate for this Legal Secretary position, you will have an excellent working knowledge of both Residential and Commercial Conveyancing matters.

The aim of this position, as mentioned earlier, will be to provide full secretarial support to the Conveyancer and Fee Earners. You will have excellent IT skills with experience of using a case management system. Ideally, you will be a fast and accurate typist as typing and audio dictation will be a large part of this position.

You will also have strong communications skills as you will be working in a close team environment, however with the ability to work alone using your own initiative. Client care skills will be essential for the Legal Secretary within this department as you will be required to liaise with Clients on a regular basis.

Duties will include:

  • Post completion work
  • Secretarial support to the Conveyancer and Fee Earners
  • Reception cover when needed
  • Audio dictation
