I have an excellent opportunity working with one of the largest, North of England based Law firms who are recruiting into their busy Preston office. This forward thinking, Legal 500 recommended legal practice offer a full range of services to both commercial clients and individuals.

This well-established, highly reputable law firm are looking to recruit an experienced Legal Secretary within the Crime department in Preston. As well as offering a generous, competitive salary, they also encourage staff training and development, securing staff longevity. The reason for this position becoming available is due to an internal promotion.

As well as focusing on Crime, they also specialize in Conveyancing, Family Law, Private Client, Personal Injury, Corporate Law and Commercial Property.

About the role?

As the successful candidate for the Legal Secretary position within the Crime department, you will be working alongside the Partner and solicitors supporting with their workload. Ideally, you will have experience working within a Criminal background, however this is not essential.

You will be organized and hardworking with the ability to prioritize your workload as this will be busy position.

Skills required:

  • Fast and accurate typist
  • Experienced legal secretary, ideally over two years
  • Case management experience would be desirable
  • Team player
  • Strong IT skills

For this Legal Secretary position, you may be required to assist other solicitors when needed, but predominately, your role will be to provide secretarial support to the Partner in the Crime Department.
