Occupational Disease Solicitor

Job Description

About the company

Kingsley are now recruiting for a boutique defendant personal injury firm with a specialism in occupational disease where there are opportunities for two solicitors to join the team (ideally up to 3 or 4 years PQE) in Leeds city centre. They are part of the new breed of firms with an innovative and entrepreneurial approach to their clients’ needs, and a team that already consists of partners and senior associates who have recently joined from national defendant insurance firms. The reason they have joined our client is because they see where the market is moving and they appreciate how good an opportunity this is in both the short and long term.

This is a rare opportunity to join a practice early in its development with excellent insurer clients where there will be masses of scope for personal development and career progression. This firm has more solicitors and fewer paralegals that focus on a small number (30 – 40) of high quality cases.

About the role

Applications are being sought from personal injury solicitors up to 4 years PQE who ideally have defendant occupational disease experience, although the Head of Department is keen to hear from those with  experience in other areas (clinical negligence, ELPL, multi-track) who can demonstrate a willingness to learn and a commercial outlook to their work. A willingness to be actively engaged in business development is also required.

Other things to consider before applying are that the firm is based fantastic new offices in the legal district in Leeds and they are encouraging a relaxed working environment (dress down etc) combined with a technically strong commercially focused team where good billings and new business wins will both be generously rewarded. For more occupational disease solicitor jobs in Leeds, contact Kingsley today.
